My debian computer was acting strange, so I pulled up the task manager and saw “pagekite.d” running. Within a few seconds it disappeared. No trace of pagekite.d in journalctl and I couldn’t find any systemd service associated with it. I don’t run ddns or any kind of server on this machine. I did install anaconda recently. Mind you, this is what I consider an “unsafe” computer. I would like to study this if it is indeed an intrusion of some sort. Seems odd that a program specifically made for punching through firewalls/nat was running.
Edit: I ran the task manager as my user account, no sudo or root was used.
