With regard to Is there a way to maintain focus when new VM windows open?.
Is there a way to open new windows in the background instead of the foreground.
The aforementioned post does only have a solution for keeping the focus on the old window. However, the new windows are opened on top of the old so, even if the focus is on the old, I cannot see what I am doing in the old one.
According to start application in background without focus / Desktop / Xfce Forums when disabling “automatically give focus to newly created windows” the new window is supposed to open in the background.
However, this does not work for me.
I also tried the option “Activate focus stealing prevention” under Window Manager Tweaks option. This did not help either.
Does anyone have advice on this?
