FIXLINK
Hellp, i’ve been using this laptop for a few months running Qubes OS, for whatever reason, after some recent updates, i believe something is wrong with my system, for some reason usual apps i run in dvm, standalone seem to lag allot more, same with audio through microphone of sys-usb, web browser, discord and such, i have no clue why, i my bios config is default for the most part and my cpu, ram are usually pretty low in terms of usage, i’ve tried switching between all 3 recent kernels as of recent, i don’t know what’s causing it, and i’m hoping you guys push an update to somehow get this resolved, when i use discord voice calls, and i join a call, i tend to lag allot, as in the qube it self slows down, and i have an audio play back device too in the discord qube, i notice my audio lagging as if it’s CPU related, though my CPU usage on average does not surpass 50 usage, i have about 10gb ram in that qube, on average 8gb is free, however it tends to slow down a lot making voice chatting unbearably annoying.
FYI, it used to work perfectly with absolutely 0 issues initially, and really good performance, until a bit later, i’m certain it’s related to more recent qubes update as i don’t thinker with Qubes dom0 nor the bios.
also, on 6.11.25-1.fc37 kernel my CUDA Nvidia 4060 8gb Vram works, however on the more recent kernels, not detected at all, i had to use this one, please fix thank you 77 and 35 i don’t remember which one sorry
maybe both im not home now i could not check.
also there is a bug where dom0 updater shows a blank page sometimes, until i reboot, happen sometimes pls fix it, also with libre wolf, if i open a youtube video and full screen, once i tab out, the entire browser breaks, and the windows glitch, visually they don’t update unless i re full screen the tab it self by dragging it to the corners of my screen, one way to solve this which is temporary is to move one of the tabs (decouple) from others that glitched with it due to the youtube tab, then merge all of them again into a single group, this happens almost all the time and has been the case on my other laptop which i used to use with qubes OS, i don’t know if this is Qubes or LW browser related, the qube is a debian qube.
another issue is that when the laptop suspends i lose internet connection, so it’s impossible to leave my laptop downloading something, i had to disable suspend in order to leave my network manager fully functional, i use mullvad vpn qube.
