What do I miss in order to have them as regular windows ? I though the package qubes-notification-daemon would be enough… I double-checked and blueman is loaded with the DBusService plugin.
@3isenHeiM you can disable the Blueman plugin StatusNotifierItem, then the number of those windows will decrease (at least it did on my end), but sometimes still a window is shown…
My bluetooth/blueman-manager’s notifications arrive like the above
screenshots as well. Why? I thought there was a QubesOS notification
proxy stuff with version 4.3?
I believe the fault lies with blueman itself and its weird way of generating notifications. May be useful to check upstream (the blueman repos) for issues with such notifications.
The issue was not present in 4.2, it only happens in 4.3.
Whatever caused blueman to behave like this must be related to qubes-notification-daemon.
An issue was reported about this on github:
Furthermore, it only happens on the first connection of a device after a restart. If the device is already in the Bluetooth manager’s list, the notification displays correctly.
