New to qubes and new to forums(i mostly wing it with my issues) but i just got qubes working on my laptop and ran into the attached issue with the firewall. i thought everything installed fine but no clue what the firewall/pci issue is. any advice on this?

Why did you have PCI devices attached to sys-firewall?
ill be honest. i have no clue at this point. i messed with linux kernals all my life but qubes is weird

In general, for network access, networking PCI devices should get attached to sys-net.
just a little privacy issue on your “screenshot”. You might consider to remove your name (in the upper right corner)
