NEW Install

Hi to All,

Currently I am in the process of reinstalling Qubes OS.

I installed a second drive into my system and would like to reconfigure it in the following way:

The first drive still will act as the boot drive and holds the system.
However I would like to give the system more space and therefore
the second drive should hold all (4) of my data partitions attached to my different qubes (Office, Media, Software and Web). Since I do not have experience with the Anaconda installer, i would like to ask if this kind of operation is supported by the installer and how to perform these tasks. In case the installer does not support this kind of operation, how can I do it manually…e.g. perhaps including parted and dd ?

After succesfully manage the moving the partitions to the new drive, i will resize the system and home partition on drive 1.

Thank you for your kind advice.

Regards, hitam

Qubes uses as default thin pools and has not really any meaning of partitions.
You can use the primary drive for dom0 (and maybe some templates) and the secondary drive for a thin pool, usable by all of your qubes.
Every qube can configured to use maximal xxx GB/TB or whatever from the pool and no qube can see the data from an other qube.
