Networking not working on Kali app-vm with Whonix

I have a Kali app-vm based off the community template that I use with Whonix, but today I logged in, and I am not able to connect to the internet at all. Whonix works with all other qubes. It might be related to the update issue, because many packages have been held back because it is not up to date.

“nmcli (1.44.0) and NetworkManager (Unknown) versions don’t match. Restarting NetworkManager is advised. Error: NetworkManager is not running.”

The last upgrade broke NetworkManager. Am I fucked? There is a dependency conflict between all of the qubes packages, and all of the kali packages.

Well, it’s bricked. I’m not using the template anymore, it’s been waay too much trouble lately. Luckily I didn’t lose anything too important.
