So, my work computer is pretty powerful but of course my employer won’t let me run qubes so when i travel I boot from an external nvme which works surprisingly well. I have run this setup for over a year and done upgrades etc, no problem. Then yesterday, after I hadn’t used the setup for about a week, I booted up - no problem, and noticed no network devices? I haven’t done any upgrades or changes during the last boot up so am not sure whats going on? I hover over the network icon in the toolbar and it says “no network connection”, i right click and it just shows vpn connections > add a vpn connection, I left click and networking and notifications are enabled and when i go to edit connections there are no connections listed. Just last week I was able to connect via wifi no problem so I have no idea what is going on.
I have sys-net setup as a dvm which is using the debian-12-xfce template so I changed the dvm template to fedora 40 (yeah i need to update that) then restarted net-sys and it seems to work which to me points to the deb template being the issue but I have no idea why, how to diag it further, or how to fix it?
