Hello,
I’ve looked around, but couldn’t find guidance.
I’ve made a VHDx BU of my current Win10 system and would like to load it as-is(ish) as a template.
So I can remove win completely from the drive.
Since I haven’t installed Qubes yet, I still have full access to the win system, if VHDx is not right, and make a different one (VMDk, VDI, …)
Any other advice ? (i.e: when creating the image, select all partitions, or just one)
Thank you !
Not about VHD, but I suspect the same warning will trigger …
Since I couldn’t clone my current win10 system to the NVMe USBc drive,
Since I couldn’t even install fresh win10 on the NVMe USBc drive,
No matter what software I used, or method.
That’s the reason I wanted to keep Win10 as a double boot
NB: /boot on local drive for Win10;
/boot on 2GB usb key for Qubes
=> no USB key boot straight to Win10;
=> USB key inserted = boot straight to Qubes)
meaning no overlap, no link between both boot.
But for security reason (and many post advice against it) I made my mind to get win10 as a Qubes, but I still want to keep my current system as-is, which circle back to security problems (PVH vs PV vs MVH)
So now I’m thinking about getting the Win10 VHD image to Ventoy on the NVMe USB.c … even if I lose speed, for the 10 times a year I’M gonna need it, it should be ok
On the ToDo list ! (for the next year maybe)
