Hi, do you have some tips for me what has to be changed to get lightdm working?
I also installed Qubes via vnc on a similar machine and also have problems with lightdm comming up.
If you have other fixes found to get panther lake machines running?
I’ve done the installation with the 4.3.1 ISO via textmode and vnc.
Thanks a lot
If this is installed in dom0, I would avoid replacing the Qubes display manager there. Dom0’s desktop and login stack is managed by Qubes packages, and changing it can leave the system without a usable session. For a VNC or remote-GUI test, keep dom0 unchanged and try the setup inside a dedicated qube instead. It would also help to know whether LightDM is in dom0 or an AppVM, plus the output of systemctl status lightdm and the relevant journalctl -b lines. If the goal is just a lightweight local session, the default Qubes desktop is the safer baseline to restore first.
