Keyboard Malfunction
After upgrading to 4.3.1, I can enter the disk password when booting up and proceed to the next step, but when I try to enter my user password, the keyboard won’t let me type any characters.
I’m using a desktop computer.
The keyboard is a USB plug-in model.
Do you use a desktop PC or a laptop? If I recall correctly, there was a setting you could change that would let dom0 trust all keyboards automatically, but this is obviously sub-optimal for security. If you are using a laptop, you could unlock using the laptop’s keyboard and accept the permission prompts for keyboard access once you log in.
When nothing happens even after a while on a user password prompt, then it looks to me your sys-usb isn’t set to start automatically on boot, or there is an issue with sys-usb. I think you’d have to temporarily expose all usb controllers to dom0 in a grub screen and then debug from there. Don’t forget to detach all other usb devices from the PC while doing so.
