Is Nitrokey NitroPC Pro Qubes certified?

I just found out about the new NitroPC Pro from Nitrokey. NitroPC Pro | shop.nitrokey.com

There is says "The NitroPC Pro is the workstation for high security and performance requirements. The open source firmware Dasharo Coreboot ensures high transparency and security and thus avoids backdoors and security holes in the firmware. The device is certified for the highly secure Qubes OS and comes with either Qubes OS or Ubuntu Linux. "

I was wondering about this since the PC is not listed as certified hardware here: Certified hardware | Qubes OS

I understand that the NitroPC Pro is basically the same as Dasharo FidelisGuard Z690, which is Qubes certified. However, the page clearly states that " The Qubes OS Project certifies only that a particular hardware configuration is supported by Qubes OS"

The NitroPC doesn’t seem to have a “default” configuration and offers several options that are not available directly from Dasharo, such as an additional NVIDIA graphics card, DDR5 RAM, Wifi module or a PCIe 5.0 SSD. So I would suggest that the claim of the NitroPC Pro being “Qubes certified” is a false claim.

Nitrokey also offers a customized version of the Novacustom NV41, which doesn’t claim to be Qubes certified: NitroPad NV41 | shop.nitrokey.com

Since I’m in Germany and local shipping would be attractive to me, I’d like to hear your guys opinion on this

Certified by who? :upside_down_face:

Snippet from description doesn’t mention who certifies it:

The device is certified for the highly secure Qubes OS and comes with either Qubes OS or Ubuntu Linux.

and another snippet on the same page:

The NitroPC Pro is certified for Qubes OS.

Nitrokey should make their wording a bit more clear.

The team is in contact with them and the plan is to have NitroPC Pro be certified too.

Once that happened the Qubes OS website will reflect it and there will probably be a News announcement about it too.
