I’ve updated my hardware with a Z890 with an Ultra Core and a series 4000 (I think that’s the problem). In version 4.3 I can’t even install it (where do I report it since it’s RC), it gives an error when starting the installation (I imagine it’s because of the way this hardware interacts), however, with version 4.2.4 I managed to install it but once installed it doesn’t restart or start, it just hangs. I’ve tried several things and I’m stuck. Im new in the forum Thanks
What’s your CPU/GPU?
What error message did you have with Qubes OS 4.3?
There is no error, it simply says that it couldn’t be possible, even with the throubleshoot, I have a 6+2-pin rtx4070 (low consumption)
What says that it’s not possible? The Qubes OS installer? What was the exact message?
What about CPU model?
I have a rtx 4xxx card and the only way that boots is modifying the grub and adding nomodeset to it in advanced options from the GRUB menu.on the 6.6 kernel and then booting into it. The new Kernel does not boot for Dom0 no matter what I try.
There was a problem with NVIDIA firmware:
But I don’t know if it’s still an issue or it was fixed already.
You can try to boot the Qubes OS installer with these kernel command line options:
nomodeset modprobe.blacklist=nouveau
You can add them in the Qubes OS installer GRUB like this:

That’s a problem with Z890 Gigabyte and MSI boards I’ve used. You have to shut down and manually power it back on in 4.2.4. Restart hangs. It’s corrected in 4.3rc2.
