Installation anomaly?

Hello all,

I’ve tried installing QUBES 2 times, from the same bootable USB. The first time succeded successfully.
I had deinstalled the first installation.
When trying to reinstal Qubes OS, when selecting a disk it asked (as usual) for disk space.
It said it needed 8 GiB of free disk space.

But here’s the oddness, as I mentioned before, I had installed Qubes from the exact same boot USB.

The second time installing, it asked for 10.(3?) GiB of free space.

-Said USB has never been plugged into another device.
-Device itself has had the original OS (ubuntu) reinstalled however.
-Disk space (2 TB SSD) has not been altered.

Why was it asking for 10.3 GiB the second time?

Did you try to install the exact same release of Qubes OS both times?

Yes

Furthermore, I’m trying to verify a new download I can’t seem to be able to verify the master key anymore, it keeps saying “no public key”

It would help if you provided some detail on what you are doing.

I never presume to speak for the Qubes team.
When I comment in the Forum I speak for myself.

I’m trying to verify the .iso for a second installation (since the first 2 had some weird things going on while installing), but the master key that I have downloaded keeps giving the folowing error: “error reading key: No public key”
I’ve downloaded it from the official site and did not have this the first time.

Did you read the docs on verifying gpg ?

Do you have the QMSK as well as the release key in gpg ?

What exactly are you doing.
Give detail on where you have stored the key and the commands you are running
