Can’t complete Qubes OS install with the Qubes .ISO used with Ventoy. Shame.
My “Installation Source” would not work as a Ventoy booted ISO:
During my (bare metal hardware) install, I could not select the nearest mirror. Where is a list of mirrors, by the way? -Then, when I am websearching solutions, I find the Installation Guide which states:
Did you know? The Qubes OS installer is completely offline. It doesn’t even load any networking drivers, so there is no possibility of internet-based data leaks or attacks during the installation process.
So, why in the name of all that is holy would you offer the option of repositories? Is that not for the install, but for configuring the system’s (post-install) repositories? If so, why in the name of all that is holy is it under “Installation Source”? That just wastes peoples’ time as it is organised and labeled. Come on, lads!
