Increasingly slow shutdown time?

Not sure what causes it, but after a fresh install of qubes things are good but then after a few days of normal uses, it seems shutdown times get increasingly slower and slower to sometimes it takes 20 minutes to shutdown or not at all. Any suggestions on what may be causing this or something I can tweak to increase shut down speed?

I suggest with checking the logs /var/logs in dom0. Sometimes Motherboard and CPU overheats this might delay the shutdown process to cool CPU before turning off.

Or your can hit Esc during the shutdown.
