When I hit the Q, I see a list of all the VMs under Apps and it’s a lot of stuff to get through to get what I want. I can go to Favorites, but I don’t use it that much because it involves more clicks and movements. Does anyone else think Favorites should be the first thing that opens?

It is now configurable. Users are able to select either of Search, Applications, Favorites pages as their starting menu page. It happened very recently. I covered it here:
I believe this to be available in main repo since 8th May.
