Hello

I am using a laptop (Elitebook 2560p) and have tried to find out if QubesOS is compatible (or possible) with this device.

On the website with the compatible devices I have read the post (link: https://groups.google.com/g/qubes-users/c/5Nh0A8rwc_A) and I am unsure whether the latest version of QubeOS is possible on the device.

[Device-Upgrade]

  • SSD is replaced with a better on (1TB with 530MB/s write speed).
  • BIOS with the latest version.

May I ask you for your advice on what the chances of a successful installation and use are on this laptop.

I would try it! See if you can get the BIOS with hardware SSD encryption. The manufacturers don’t give them unless you request it. It does make a big difference in security.
