How to Fix Deleted XFCE Panel

This guide is for anyone who accidentally delete their primary panel in XFCE only as at the bottom.

Here’s the steps (make sure it is in Dom0):

  1. Use the combination of Alt and F1 keys at the same time.
  2. In that XFCE panel window, go to Applications → System Tools → System Settings.
  3. In the System Settings, navigate to the Personal section → Panel (under the Desktop) and select that.
  4. Select the “+” button and name your panel.
  5. Secondary click the panel → “Panel” drop down tool → Panel Preferences.
  6. Go to Items Tab adding these following items in order:
  • Launcher (within that you have to edit the Launcher by clicking the edit button next to the Remove button and add new item by clicking the “+” button and search “Open Qubes Application Menu” and click add at the bottom of the window.)
  • Windows Buttons
  • Separator
  • Workspace Switcher
  • Clock
  • PulseAudio Plugin (external)
  • Power Manager Plugin (external)
  • Status Tray Plugin (external)
  • Action Button
  1. Reboot the whole system.
