I had pycharm on Windows previously. It was simple to set up and download. However, I just made a new qube designated for programming and tried to download the community pycharm (linux version). After it downloaded and I opened it it went on some achieve thing and I am unsure what to do from there.
One idea is to use the debian standalone vm, because the snap integration is a bit better.
- One could install qubes-snapd-helper first using apt.
- next install snapd
- And then install pycharm-community —classic
- Refresh the apps in the qubes manager and then you can drag it to the applications shown in app menu.
