I have the same issue
Qubes OS is on an external SSD on laptop lenovo ideapad 320
Only one usb controller
I need the usb controller for an usb_to_ethernet adapter
From what I read, it is not possible to run my configuration.
I was using an external SSD to test the Qubes OS
Since it boot and run on SSD, I guess I can install on the internal drive when I am ready to flush my old OS.
Laptop dont have much slots for hardware expansion
