Security and/or privacy question about using different tor apps in qubes.
Say I want to use Cwtch (messaging over Tor), Bisq2 (DEX exchange place for crypto), Onioshare (filesharing over Tor), Monero wallet and deamon (isolation setup) and so on.
Should I have as many dedicated gateway template as App I want to use ?
I read that there are mods to do in the gateway template (policy…). Is it safe to make all the mods in the same gateway, or is it better to clone the template, and do each app mod in a dedicated gateway-template (say whonix-18-gw-bisq2 with bisq2 mods, whonix-18-gw-monerod with monerod stuff etc…)?

What OS do you use to run these applications over tor ? Is it whonix ws or another OS like fedora xfce ?
Related to your question, I’d suggest you clone another gateway and do the customization there. Not sure if you need extras for each subsequent application (it depends on which applications are critical). But isolating it from your general gateway use would be a good idea

Unless I am misunderstanding something, sys-whonix is the only gateway you need. The rest are just AppVMs based on Whonix Workstation template (or templates, if you decide so) - how many depends on how much you want to separate one data from another.
