How do I manage disp sys-net

Hi

I’m a bit confused on how to setup this

I have wired connection, disp sys-net based on the debian 13 and KDE DE
Each time I disconnect/reconnect my network settings are getting wiped off and I’m getting back to the defaults
To edit the settings I do as follows: right click on NetworkManager applet > Edit connection > clicking the settings gear next to my current connection > tweak it to my liking

Do you mean by “disconnect / reconnect” the network connection or the reboot of the Qubes system?

In case you are talking of rebooting make sure to put your network settings into the disp VM’s template. They are not persistent (by design) when the Qubes system is rebooted.

You can find different approaches to this by searching the Forum.

A simple approach is to set things up as you will in the
disposable, then use qvm-copy to copy the configuration files from
/rw/config/NM-system-connections to the disposable template, and put
them in place there.

I never presume to speak for the Qubes team.
When I comment in the Forum I speak for myself.
