How do I get gsettings/dconf to work in debian-11/debian-11-minimal?

Theme switching with gsettings/dconf does not work in debian templates. I recently encountered a similar problem in fedora-minimal, but solved the problem by installing the gnome-settings-daemon package. In debian templates this method doesn’t work, any ideas?

P.s. I know I can customize the theme through settings.ini, but I’m not happy with that option.

I had the same issue, you need it disable xsettingsd.
