Hide cursos in-game

I managed to install Minecraft working with QubesOS by installing the multimc debian package inside an AppVM.

The game launches and works fine as expcected which I was pretty surprised and happy about.

However I have my cursor always visible for some reason inside the game’s window as well to I can’t look left-right, up-down with my in-game character whenever I move my mouse my character is just spinning around. Is there a fix for this? How to hide the cursos for a specific qube whenever I enter it’s app window?

As far as I know the GUI protovol does not allow mouse capturing (even for security reasons). The way some of us do it is through GPU passthrough on a second monitor with dedicated mouse and keyboard. But that is it’s own adventure. However, if you want any reasonable gaming performance, GPU passthrough is necessary anyways.

Hi @zozidalom ,
is this help ? It’s just for hidding the mouse cursor, not for window relative cursor position…

Hi, thank you for the reply, I am looking at Qubes redirect mouse input to VM · GitHub, if that wouldn’t work out, I’ll try with your script to see if just hiding is enough or not.
