Remarks
This is a custom-built desktop PC that I put together a few months ago. It is based on the MSI Z790 GAMING PLUS WIFI motherboard. The CPU is a 14th generation Core i5. It has 14 CPU cores and 20 logical processors (on an i5!). I am using both the onboard Intel graphics and a discrete GeForce RTX 3060 Lite Hash Rate GPU, with GPU passthrough. 64 GiB RAM, and a 2 TiB M.2 NVMe SSD.
The system works beautifully. I am very happy with it. I am running the latest 6.11 kernel at the moment, but older 6.x kernel versions work as well.
One of the nice things about this motherboard is that it has a PS/2 port, which can be used either for the keyboard or for the mouse. I have a PS/2 mechanical keyboard connected, which means I do not have to have USB keyboards enabled at all.
