Remarks

Tried and tested several times with this laptop model and with every attempt (and newer releases) better results.
stopped trying at some points because of frustration and tried again because of renewed curiosity

  • release 4.0:
did not get further than a black screen during installation from usb.

  • release 4.1:
got a working installation, but problems with usb-mouse connects/disconnects random at boot. This inconsistency was unworkable for me.
Another issue was the wifi. I fixed it by installing a wifi driver for this specific wireless card. thanks to the following comment:
AX210/211 WiFi card not showing any networks - #8 by tibukuby

  • release 4.2.4:
full working installation. I was glad to see the mouse was working from the get-go without hiccups
The wifi problem was easier to fix by detaching the first pci in the sys-net qube.
Specifically this Intel Corporation Ethernet Connection (13) I219-V [8086:15fc] (rev 20)
sys-net is based on Fedora 41

Audio works
