Remarks
I have been using this device for a few months now and have been loving it. I updated the UEFI firmware to the latest version and installed Qubes without any major issues.
- Sleep mode works with S3 mode set in UEFI
- Keyboard, trackpad/trackpoint, camera/microphone all seem to be working
- Upgraded the initial 8GB RAM to the 64GB maximum
- Changed WiFi card to an Intel AX210 (only because I bought it for my last laptop, original card was working fine)
This laptop is a beast with its 8 core CPU and 64GB of RAM. This is so much snappier to use compared to my ThinkPad T480 I was using before. Would love to see this on the community recommended hardware list in the future. With this more updated hardware, I could see myself using Qubes as a daily driver.
Note: This laptop was originally running UEFI version 1.32. On this version there was an issue preventing me from booting any USB drives. I ended up having to update the UEFI from within Windows using Lenovo Vantage to fix this.
- I am not sure if this was an issue with that firmware version or with my specific system, but I would update it to the latest version if you get this laptop before removing Windows from the drive.
