Having problems connecting to the internet on my Qubes machine

Pretty sure, my fire wall settings work for Qubes, as they did in the past, and it currently works for another lan. My router did have an update that broke my vpn, so maybe it’s just the firewall. I’m going to have to troubleshoot some other stuff with them, and this might be for them as well.

Currently, I can’t connect to the internet from my Qubes machine on my network. I can test with the wireless network, but I’d prefer to use my wired network. Since they’re the same that should be broken as well. But, I’m stuck at 5% connecting to a tor relay permanently.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? I tried turning off security settings on my router and so far tor is not getting through.

Hi zara

Are you willing to share some actual information from sys-net? If so, can you share the output of

ip addr show

and

ip route show

from sys-net - as it looks when you are connected

  1. to WiFi
  2. to your own LAN
  3. tpo the alternative LAN

?

To add to @ChrisA 's suggestions, could you also post the outputs of:

ping qubes-os.org
dig qubes-os.org
dig qubes-os.org @1.1.1.1
curl qubes-os.org

from sys-net?
