OK, this may be a hack but it could also just be some kind of bug. IDK basically what has gone on is qubes has become unusable. So it boots into the desktop environment but sheds all kinds of features. I can’t launche a qube it simply fails suddenly the mouse just works when historically the mouse would need to be activated by system net. Almost all of the qubes features that would end up in your system tray are gone. The system net the device control center all kinds of stuff is broken. It’s almost reverted back to being Fedora?
Why I think I may have been hacked is I bought a second graphics card an i installed it without wipping the firmware. I quickly realized my mistake and disabled it in the grub boot params. Until i could get to wipping it. I have pictures and some videos of the errors it’s throwing when it boots but idk what I’m looking for. I can still get online but i disconneted the hardline as a precaution. Just assuming the worse. Says i need an update but the updater isnt launching into the system tray.
Worse yet this is the box I manage my web server from an we’re in the middle of the greatest php problem ever. So even if im wrong about this. I’m still probably hacked, lol.
The command i dropped into the grub boot loader was a.
Start with uninstalling the second graphics card.
What do you mean uninstall I totally removed the card it’s out of the computer. An when I boot it edit out the rd.qubes.hide_pci…etc… till the end of that line. I’m kinda fuzzy on exactly what I need to edit out is the line before it also in need of a trim.

That weired when I edit out the line it boots swore I wrote that out.
So I finally got this fixed and it took some work of resetting the thin client and previously the grub. There are still some odd system behaviors that incline me to believe that the system isn’t right. An I don’t think there just bugs It seems to want to automatically restart on shutdowns. Allot of failed system flags during boot. lsblk shows every qubes now where in the past it just showed drives. Something I think is against the qubes ethos some of how it works seemed to be hiding data so even if you did have an intrusion they wouldn’t realize you were running zen etc.
Tell me I am paranoid that is fine but how would I check. How would one know.
