Hard freeze with R4.2.1 on Lenovo Thinkpad Carbon X1 Gen 8

My system was fully functional with version 4.1 and had zero issues. However, after upgrading to 4.2.1, it started to freeze. The freezing occurs randomly; it can happen during boot or just after entering the password. It always freezes when starting any job, whether it’s an update, opening certain windows, or any random task. The idle system can last a week (I haven’t tried longer).

I decided to reinstall, but now I can’t install it. It freezes randomly on the first graphic screen to choose the language, sometimes on the second screen, and sometimes during the installation process. I’ve tried both stable and latest kernels.

The logs didn’t reveal any issues. My hardware seems fine, as secondary Windows functions perfectly. I’ve conducted all hardware tests without any errors. Additionally, I’ve attempted the cpufreq=xen:hwp=off tweak during install, but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the problem.
