I’ve noticed recently that there is a discrepancy in how the Qubes GUI treats restarts on service qubes. Whenever I try to restart a running and connected service qube (like sys-net or sys-firewall), it restarts as expected. However, on the domains widget, when I try to restart the same qube it fails with a popup telling me it is connected to running AppVM(s). This is on R4.2.1. Is there a reason for this behavior?
I always thought it was a (somewhat clunky) way to offer both options with no extra UI, but I don’t know, it’s only an assumption that may be very wrong
