GPU acceleration full support, full performance release date

When is the GPU acceleration full support, full performance release date for both AMD iGPU and dGPU

AFAIK, there is no such date.

Looked at one way, there is already excellent support for this in dom0. It rather depends what is meant by the question of @hel

Looked at another way, see what @qubist said.

what is dom0? I have a 14-dk0736ms I want to use multiple messaging apps, media display, and browsing on after I upgrade the ram but I’m worried it won’t work well if GPU acceleration is worse then a regular Linux or windows machine

The best I have come across is this: Virtualised Intel GPU with SR-IOV It works well with my Novacustom v54 with Meteor Lake CPU. The only problem I have is that the custom kernel module has a memory leak on shared memory which causes it to grow over time and eventually a restart of the guest. I hope this gets fixed at some point.

This sounds like for Intel and NVIDIA already there is, and there’s no reason not to have this for AMD too…

I would genuinely want to know how such a question became a post. I mean a thought process that gave a birth to OP.

do you know where I can see the status of the bug?

Gemini said it was bad and I saw in the documentation that said it’s still in development and saw on GitHub there are a lot of tasks least of which looks like security even if is going to be less ether way

This is the bug ticket: Catastrophic shmem leak on kernel 6.19.5 · Issue #425 · strongtz/i915-sriov-dkms · GitHub
