Have searched and come across this Qubes issue:

It appears Qubes does not support Intel's latest version of processors.

Support for Intel's latest version of their processors (i.e., tiger lake)

I have checked that the suspend state is ‘deep’ not ‘s2idle’ but echo mem > /sys/power/state results in a sleeping system which won’t wake unless it’s power cycled (X1 Carbon 10th Gen with i7-1260P running a 6.1 series kernel-latest in Dom0)
It seems others have got resume from suspend working with Alder Lake, what am I missing?
