Framework Laptop 16 New Mainboard with Ryzen Ai version Edition 2026

Hello,

Now, Framework Laptop 16 + Ryzen™ AI 5 340, Ryzen™ AI 7 350, Ryzen™ AI 9 HX 370. Who had tested it?

The official state, as of today: the Qubes HCL contains exactly one report for the Framework Laptop 16, and it covers the previous mainboard generation (AMD Ryzen 7040 series - specifically a Ryzen 9 7940HS with Radeon 780M graphics and a MediaTek MT7922 WLAN card, BIOS 03.02, tested on Qubes R4.2.0 with the result “works: partial”). For the new Ryzen AI 300 mainboards (AI 5 340 / AI 7 350 / AI 9 HX 370) I find no HCL report at all yet - so officially, nobody has reported a test.

That silence cuts both ways: it does not mean the new boards fail, only that no owner has submitted a report. The HCL is community-driven - each entry names its submitter and links the original report, and reports come in through this forum’s HCL Reports category. So the practical answer to “who has tested it”: watch that category, and if you end up buying one of the new boards, your own report would currently be the first.

I cannot test the board myself, so this is the documented state, not hands-on experience. For a rough baseline, the 7040-series report at least shows the Laptop 16 worked with Qubes with caveats (“partial”) on R4.2.0 - but a new mainboard generation is exactly the kind of change that can break that, so I would not treat it as a guarantee.
