Framework 13--Intel better than AMD for Qubes?

I have a new Framework 13 AMD Ryzen laptop as of this morning (thanks, Santa!). I can’t seem to locate the IOMMU setting in the BIOS and am having other troubles, too. Would an Intel main board be better/easier to get help with? If yes, I can swap out the main board from AMD to Intel…

Even if in general compatibility is better with Intel the Framework 13 with AMD processors seems to be working fine with Qubes OS (including IOMMU support) as long as you manually deal with these issues: Framework 13 (AMD Ryzen 7040) Sys-net setup failure

Thank you. I had missed that post. I went ahead and installed Ubuntu Pro and planned to air-gap it. I’ll gives it another try with Qubes.
