Firefox sometime ctrl+tab switching tabs stuck- title shows of selected tab, still preview of previous tab.
When i alt+tab 2x to another and back window, then ctrl+tab switching works again.
Why i happens sometimes like that?

I’ve seen this issue as well. Often closing out windows/tabs (blindly) resolves it but not always.

Well closing isnt option since working in tab still. I get over that by switching windows and then works again.
Now how to have this bug fixed.

I always suspected it was a problem with not enough RAM. Did you try to increase the available RAM in the qube?

I’ve experienced something similar to this in the past, though only in fedora appvms. Typically occurs when I’m doing something resource demanding in the browser (e.g. watching a 1080p video). Messing with the memory alloc didn’t seem to have much of an effect. What fixed it for me was switching to a debian based template and using firefox in there instead.

Don’t know why exactly this is, but I assume it has to do with missing video/audio codecs in fedora. Don’t quote me on this though.

Started happening here quite frequently as well, will try increasing RAM, perhaps something in more recent Firefox updates allocates more by default.

And I thought it was me only and something with my zram…

I found https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1714199 - might be useful to do a pkill -ABRT firefox in the qube to see whether the debug info is useful.

@Kangarooo, it’s a quirk with the Qubes OS XFCE window manager interacting between the VMs. If you press F11 twice (Firefox full-screen hotkey), it should fix it…until the next time it happens.

I have a rough idea of why it happens, but I honestly haven’t done much investigating into the cause…
