I want to buy a Lenovo G505s with A10 for Qubes. But I can’t find it on ebay. Do you know where I can find them online?
Depending on where you live a good way to obtain one of these devices could be the classifieds. There are several online platforms in European countries that I know of and I guess there are more of those in other parts of the world as well.
Sometimes people forget the “s” in G505 so just in case be sure to check these ads as well.
I am running Qubes 4.1 on a G505s and I am very satisfied. Of course, it isn’t the fastest laptop and there are some minor things like sys-usb (it is working) which is very slow for moving big files.
I’d go for one with a dedicated GPU. There are 2 models available, one with a Radeon R5-M230 and one with a Radeon HD-8570M.
