External-source keyboard layout in dom0 - broad advice request

Before undertaking this task, I’m open to suggestions as to… a better way.

I want to install a custom keyboard layout, this Yiddish one: GitHub - nevillepark/yiddish-keys-linux: Yiddish keyboard layouts for GNU/Linux (the Yiddish layout, which I’ve used before on a non-Qubes computer, is significantly better for the purposes of writing in Yiddish than any Hebrew layout, for the record)

This presumably means bringing the file to dom0? And following the Installation instructions - but I am concerned that dom0 is Fedora-based so some of the commands may be different (I have yet to find to read up on that matter).

Has anyone done something like this? Got pointers or resources?
