I have an MSI GX63VR laptop with an Intel HD 630 iGPU and a Nvidia 1070m secondary GPU. I have recently began the process of passing my Nvidia GPU to a HVM and this has caused my machine to lose the ability to connect to an external monitor.
I have reviewed the capabilities of my machine, and while the HDMI port plugs directly into the Nvidia GPU, the Display port should connect directly into the MOBO, allowing for my iGPU to display an image.
I have ensured that the display port is connected to a monitor while booting as I have heard that may solve things and have not seen any promising results.
currently I am unable to get this working however, If anyone has suggestions as to why this is not working I would love to hear them!
