I’ve noticed that occasionally VMs will show up with the “restart required” icon in the tray applet, even when there is no reason to restart them (that I’m aware of). When it does happen, it is usually on the first time an AppVM is started after its template has been updated and shut down. I have verified at least once that the AppVM is using the most current copy of the TemplateVM (based on package versions in the AppVM) despite the icon appearing. Oddly, when this happens, the restart required icon does not show up in the Qubes Manager dialog, just in the tray applet.
It’s nothing more than a slight annoyance to me, but I was wondering if anyone else had see this happen, or if maybe I’m misunderstanding how it is supposed to work?
