Epiphany doesn't run in fedora-43 disposable

Hello,

I just updated to fedora-43 templates on Qubes release 4.3.0 (R4.3). My fallback browser epiphany doesn’t start any more. Is it me only?

Message:
Bail out! epiphany:ERROR:…/embed/ephy-filters-manager.c:189:filter_info_identifier_for_source_uri: assertion failed: (source_uri)

Works fine with a fedora-43-Xfce template.
What template are you using?
Had you made any configuration changes when you were using it with
earlier fedora?

I’m using the fedora-43 standard template. No special configurations as I only use Epiphany in disposables. I will test fedora-43-xfce as well.

Works for me on Gnome fedora-43 too.

Thank you for the test.
I changed the template to fedora-43-xfce by now and Epiphany starts fine. But still no start while I use the fedora-43 template which I downloaded and installed today.
The only two things I added to the template are langpacks and system-config-printer.
Epiphany still refuses to start in all of my disposables, as long as I use the fedora-43 template.

Can you confirm it works with a vanilla fedora0-43 and pin it down to one of those packages?

You’re right: my locale is usually set to LANG=de_DE.UTF-8. If I reset the locale to LANG=en_US.UTF-8 and restart the Qube, epiphany starts without hiccups.

That sounds like an upstream issue, best reported there.
