Hi! My apologies if this question has already been covered somewhere – I looked as far as I could, and couldn’t find it being covered.
From what I’ve gathered regarding dual-booting two operating systems, it’s generally considered a fairly egregious security risk, let alone dual-booting Windows and Qubes OS.
If I were to install Qubes OS on an external drive and physically remove it when I’m using my two main Windows drives (a 500GB SSD and a 2TB SSD), would the Windows drives be able to compromise the Qubes OS drive? If they would, is there steps I can take to prevent that?
I’m willing to go as far as physically removing one set of drives when using the others, but I’d much rather prefer just unmounting the unused drives.
Is this a viable approach I can take without worrying about my Windows drive completely bypassing all of Qubes OS’s security precautions, or is it unsafe?
Best Regards,
A Curious Internet User
