Downgrading Qubes OS Versions?

is it a straightforward process to downgrade qubes 4.3 to qubes R4.2.4?

I am worried this new upgrade will break some of my custom standalone and GPU VMs.

What is the downgrade process like? Is it as simple as using Qubes Restore and restoring Dom0?

Very doubtful. I don’t even think it is in qubes documentation. If I wanted to try this I’d do a whole disk BU of 4.2.4 with dd or clonezilla

There is no official documentation nor tooling for downgrading Qubes OS versions, so I recommend backing up your Qubes OS installation before performing an in-place upgrade.
