Hi,
Is it normal for dom0 to notify me about its updates in exact time when I run qvm-run --pass-io...
to move files to dom0? I got that notification and in dom0 dnf check-update
and sudo dnf check-update
returns that no packages are available for updates. I’m just wondering if I’ve got compromised or it’s normal.
Do you have this notification each time you run this command in dom0?
Or was this just one time thing?
It was just one time thing.
Maybe it was just a coincidence that dom0 updates check finished at this time.
But it shows that there is an update for dom0 and dnf check-update
or sudo dnf check-update
in dom0 shows nothing so there are no packages available for update. And I have that golden star icon next to dom0 in qui-domains
. Sometimes it can be a bug, but it is dom0 and it was right after successful execution of qvm-run --pass-io...
. Maybe there is a way to check available updates for dom0 in other way? Or I need to use other commands than these related with fedora? I want to be sure that I didn’t got infected somehow. I would like to know what exact packages are for update. When I execute dnf check-update
or sudo dnf check-update
, it checks only Qubes OS Repository, not Fedora ones like in Fedora AppVMs for instance. So maybe there are some updates but I cannot see it because of some dom0 security things?
Run this command in dom0 to check the updates:
sudo qubes-dom0-update
