Dmenu searching problems

I’m using ‘dmenu’ for qubes i3 WM, when searching for VMs / Apps, the search feature performs terribly.

When i type the letter ‘c’, the first option in dmenu is still ‘Accessibility’. I would think that the first option should start with ‘C’.

I can open each app fine, but I can’t search for anything since the matching function is non-existent.

Any advice?

I had too many issues with i3-dmenu-desktop too.
You could replace it with j4-dmenu-desktop or rofi.
