"Display" dialog window opens whenever computer goes idle

So nobody even tried to help this person for 17 days. No wonder people don’t stick with Qubes and go back to a different operating system.

I probably have the same problem. Only thing is I don’t know if the “Display” dialag appears if my computer is just in idle for a while or when it goes to sleep (I don’t mean suspend), because for some reason my computer goes to sleep fast although I put it to 58 minutes in the display manager, but it goes after 5-10 minutes or so to sleep. But that’s a different bug I guess.

This worked for me. In the XFCE display settings in dom0, set up the displays as you want them to be and save the profile. In the same tab where you manage the profiles, you can toggle a switch that automatically enables profiles when displays are connected. I have 3 displays connected, one is connected to a KVM, I only had to make a profile for the setup with 3 displays connected, I never had any issues with disconnecting a display.

And I think that the Qubes OS team should work on fixing this problem, that after some time Qubes thinks, that the same monitor you always had, is somehow a new monitor or a monitor you connected again (although you never disconnected the monitor).
