Disable Discourse Solved for All around Qubes Category

For example, I posted https://forum.qubes-os.org/t/flashkeeper-the-solution-to-spi-flash-firmware-tampering/28028 and now it keeps nagging me:

• Has your question been answered? Highlight the answer and help others by using the solution button below the correct reply.

• There is no “solution”. It’s just a discussion.

This is annoying. Sorry about that. I couldn’t find the original discussion where we decided to enable it, but the reason was because some topics there could be considered “solved”. However, I don’t think we anticipated discourse nagging people about it.

I’ll investigate what we can do @adrelanos

Because one person, in 4 years and on a different forum, mentions he is unhappy with the wording “Solution”, the feature needs to be removed?

Everything isn’t a discussion, someone could be asking a question. Questions can be answered, and discussions can reach a conclusion.

No one is forced to mark a post as the solution, the original poster has the option to do so, and doing so doesn’t close the thread.

Having the option to easily find the post that the creator of the thread found to be the most important, is useful especially in long threads.

Maybe people just need to look past the “Solution” wording?

If you have experience with the Discourse Solved plugin in order to specifically address @adrelanos’ issue while preserving the option for the All around Qubes category, feel free to provide a technical solution for @deeplow to implement.

We’ve decided to disable the solutions in All around Qubes. So it should no longer be bothering you @adrelanos. Sorry for the delay.
