Dell XPS series now offering "Intel ME disabled"

Official Dell site now mentions the following:

Intel® ME Disabled, No Out-of-Band System Management

For the XPS series (in my case XPS 13) Dell laptops.

This is very good news for those who want the additional security

Good news, indeed! Wonder why Lenovo didn’t think about this in the first place, at least for their non-enterprise targeted laptops.

+400$ for additional 16 gb ram? Sorry,
it is ridiculous! Novacustom is better choice for me…you can just buy standard nv54 laptop with 8gb and put 64 gb DDR5 RAM for 150$ yourself.

Is this any different that what dell has offered for years ? Desktops with #3 sticker indicating ME disabled are not comparable to something like a Nitropad. Is this new offering ?
