Creating a new type of 'dvm' a 'browser-dvm' or more generally, an 'app-dvm'

Hi all,

So what I want to ask, and perhaps try to build, is the idea of a ‘browser-dvm’ or ‘app-dvm’ in general.
This would be a dvm, also like normal, where the volitile ~user folder gets disgarded on exit… but an app-dvm could just untar a fixed one before launching the app, in the newly created dvm.

why would I want this?

In my browser, I want my profile to be fixed in some way (bookmarks) but not bloated with cookies/logins or anything else. this would improve privacy and usability. I think it’s quite handy when it comes to anon-whonix.

My problem with anon-whonix is that the tor browser in dvm doesn’t have bookmarks, so this would be nice to have, I guess? Is this a good idea?

Have a look at quBO. This system allows you to configure what exactly you want to persist in regards to (FF) browser.
